The Colombian airline Aero República will now officially be known as Copa Airlines Colombia. This is a result of the positive transformations and progress that the airline has achieved in the last five years. Since Copa Holdings, owner of the Panamanian airline Copa Airlines, acquired Aero República in March 2005, we set a goal to go further and become the best option for all travelers.

Though it will now start selling its services under the brand name ‘Copa Airlines Colombia’, Aero República will not cease to exist as a Colombian airline. Moreover, Copa Airlines Colombia continues to be a domestic airline: it will still fly between domestic destinations and will still operate the same routes that Aero República did. Sociedad Aero República S.A. will not cease to exist as it is the holder of air traffic rights.

The Copa Airlines Colombia brand offers all the services that Aero República did and moreover bears the international prestige of Copa Airlines. This means that Colombian travelers can now fly to new international destinations. Thanks to a standardization of processes and to permits obtained from the authorities, the totality of the Copa Airlines and Copa Airlines Colombia fleets are available for domestic and international operations.
