Elite levels

 

 

The privileges and benefits of the Elite OnePass program have been specifically designed for the most active customers. Elite program members receive:

  • Courtesy upgrades for the member and one companion (not applicable to Silver Elite).
  • Preferred check-in at airports.
  • Preferred boarding and baggage check.

 

Elite program membership eligibility depends on the number of miles or trips earned during one calendar year (from January 1 to December 31) when traveling with Continental Airlines, Copa Airlines, Copa Airlines Colombia, and other participating companies in the OnePass program.

Elite levels

OnePass® rewards its most loyal customers by offering them three Elite levels from which, depending on the status, they may derive various benefits. To reach these levels, the customer must obtain a minimum number of miles or trips for each status in one calendar year, from January 1 to December 31. Customers begin to enjoy their benefits on January 31 of the following year. Depending on the fare class purchased by the customer, they may reach the various levels sooner.

The remaining fare codes do not accrue miles. Continental Airlines and Copa Airlines reserve the right to modify eligible fare codes at any time without previous notice.

Note: OnePass reward tickets do not qualify for accumulation of miles or upgrades to Elite status.

 

Benefits:

  • Courtesy upgrades: On eligible flights, Elite members have several courtesy class upgrade options, if seats are available, including automatic, confirmed class upgrades when a ticket purchased in class Y is issued, or through our Elite Upgrade Automated (EUA) system. For Platinum members, up to 5 days prior to flight departure, for Gold members, up to 3 days prior to flight departure, and for Silver members, up to 24 hours prior to flight departure. Upgrades are subject to availability two hours before departure, at the airport.
  • Miles Bonuses: Earn miles faster by paying qualifying fares on partner airlines participating in the program.
  • On flights operated by Copa Airlines, Copa Airlines Colombia, and Continental Airlines, Silver Elite members receive 25%, and Gold and Platinum Elite members receive 100% of the miles earned on their trip.
  • Elite Priority Line: Enjoy preferred service when making reservations and redeeming your rewards when you call our Reservation Center.
  • Elite Access: Receive preferred treatment when traveling:
    • Priority upon check-in at the counter and when boarding
    • Priority baggage handling
  • United Club membership and access to Copa Club: Elite members receive a special discount to acquire this membership.
  • Gold and Platinum members can enjoy VIP rooms at all Star Alliance network rooms when traveling in Star Alliance partner airlines.* Passengers must bring their boarding pass and Elite status card.
  • Tourist Class Preferred Seat Assignment
  • Class upgrades for companion on the day of the flight (at the airport), subject to availability. This benefit only for Gold and Platinum Elite members.
  • Access to El Dorado Airport Elite Lounge.

 

*Copa Airlines is not yet part of the Star Alliance network. It is going through an integration process to be part of the network. OnePass Elite Platinum and Gold members traveling in Copa Airlines have access only to Copa Clubs until Copa Airlines becomes part of the Star Alliance network.

 

No baggage fees for Elite, Silver, Gold, and Platinum OnePass® members

Silver, Gold, and Platinum members enjoy a no-baggage-fee policy on international flights, even when flying on a OnePass® Reward Ticket redeemed with their miles. This does not apply to Elite account beneficiaries whose OnePass status is not Elite.

  • OnePass Elite Silver members may check in up to two (2) pieces of baggage whose maximum weight does not exceed 70 pounds (32 kilos) each, without additional fees.
  • OnePass Elite Platinum and Gold members may check in up to three (3) pieces of baggage whose maximum weight does not exceed 70 pounds (32 kilos) each, without additional fees.
  • Combined linear measurements requirements remain the same. That is to say, no piece shall exceed 62 combined linear inches (157 cm) (height+length+width).
  • If pieces measure between 63" (160 cm) and 107" (272 cm), they will be considered excess baggage.
  • The same applies to pieces whose combined measurements exceed 107" (272 cm).

 

For domestic flights (inside Colombia), the following free-baggage allowance applies:

All passengers may check in up to 20 kg for baggage compartment. Elite members may check in additional baggage without baggage fees, according to their level: Silver, 10 kg; Gold, 20 kg; and Platinum, 30 kg. Subject to availability and airplane weight and balance.
