Copa Airlines accepts one piece of archery equipment per customer provided that the item is registered as checked luggage. For international flights, charges will apply for excess luggage that is in addition to allowed luggage. For flights within Colombia, there will be no additional costs provided that the items fall under the terms of allowed luggage.

Accepted archery equipment includes:

• 1 bow box, bows inside.
• 1 arrow box, arrows inside.
• 1 maintenance kit, with sufficient resistance for protecting items against accidental damage.

These items will be subject to the following conditions:

• All items must be properly packed in a suitable container.
• If necessary, an excess luggage fee will apply.
• Archery equipment that is transported in addition to allowed luggage must pay current excess luggage fees.

You may transport bicycles that are packed in containers or boxes as allowed luggage provided that they do not exceed 32 kg (70 lb) and 62 linear inches (158 cm). Bicycles that weigh between 24 and 32 kilos will be subject to corresponding excess luggage fees on routes for which allowed luggage weight is up to 23 kilos.

Copa Airlines allows per-customer bicycle transport provided that the following conditions are met:

• Sport bikes (non-competitive) with a single seat.
• Non-motorized bikes.
• All small items such as chains, screw, brakes, etc., must be stored in plastic bags.
• Pedals and handlebars must be removed and stored aside.
• Bicycles must be properly packed in a box that will isolate them from contact with the plane’s hold.

For international flights, Copa Airlines accepts a set of bowling equipment per passenger instead of a piece of baggage within the franchise. For flights within Colombia, there will be no additional costs provided that the items fall under the terms of allowed luggage.

A bowling team consists of the following items:

• A pair of bowling shoes.
• One bowling ball.
• One bag.

For international flights, Copa Airlines accepts camping equipment as checked luggage provided that it meets the dimensions and weight set: maximum 62 linear inches (158 cm) and 45 kg (100 lb). When charged in addition to the excess baggage allowance, excess baggage charges apply. For flights within Colombia, there will be no additional costs provided that the items fall under the terms of allowed luggage.

The following items will be accepted as part of camping equipment:

• Tent.
• Backpacks.
• Sleeping bags.

Articles made of vinyl, cotton, plastics, fabrics and articles that have metal and aluminum frames, strap and belts are billed as fragile items.

Copa Airlines does not accept canoes, boats, kayaks, jet skis, or surf skis as baggage. Please refer to the Cargo Department for more information.

Exception:

• Inflatable kayaks will be accepted as baggage, if when deflated it meets with the required measurements: 62 linear inches (158 cm) maximum.

Copa Airlines allows the transport of one piece of fishing equipment per passenger as checked luggage. Corresponding fees will apply to any excess baggage. Accepted fishing equipment includes two fishing rods, a spool, a fishing net, a pair of fishing boots, and a tackle box.

Below you will find a list of considerations that may be useful to you upon packing your fishing equipment for the flight:

• All items must be packed in their corresponding boxes in a suitable container that does not exceed a total of 115 linear inches (292 cm) (length + width + height).
• Fishing equipment cannot exceed 80 inches (203 cm) in length.
• Fishing equipment may be subject to charges when it is the first or second piece of luggage.
• Current excess luggage fees will apply to all transported fishing equipment when in addition to allowed luggage. The equipment will be considered a single piece of luggage independently of whether or not it is presented as such.
• Copa Airlines does not take responsibility for any damages that may occur to fishing equipment.

Copa Airlines and Copa Airlines Colombia do not accept gliders as checked baggage or as cargo due to the dimensions of these.

For international flights, Copa Airlines will accept an article of golf equipment per passenger in exchange for one of the pieces in the baggage allowance. For flights within Colombia, there will be no additional costs provided that the items fall under the terms of allowed luggage. All items must be packed properly in cases suitable for transportation.

The following can be considered as golf equipment:

• One golf bag.
• 1 to 14 golf clubs.
• 12 balls.
• A pair of golf shoes.

The golf bag must be inside a case. Golf equipment is allowed as part of the checked baggage. Corresponding fees will apply to any excess baggage.

Copa Airlines regulates and controls the transport of any article which may be used as a weapon inside the aircraft. Knives, razors and scissors are not allowed in the carry-on luggage.

All types of scissors and knives are allowed as checked baggage. These items must be properly packaged and wrapped to prevent damage to baggage.

Copa Airlines accepts parachutes provided that they comply with established dimension and weight restrictions. Permitted as part of checked baggage; corresponding fees will apply to any excess baggage. If parachutes are to be transported as hand luggage, they must comply with established restrictions and easily fit under a passenger seat.

Copa Airlines will accept one pole for transport as checked baggage. Corresponding fees will apply to any excess baggage. All pole vault equipment must be packed in an appropriate container.

However, due to the fact only certain aircraft can be used to transport poles, we recommend that you get in touch with our Reservation Center for more information about maximum length restrictions.

Copa Airlines and Copa Airlines Colombia do not accept diving equipment as part of the baggage allowance permitted.

Diving equipment consists of:

• An empty tank.
• A regulator.
• A pressure measurer.
• A mask with a breathing tube.
• A knife.
• A harpoon.
• Wetsuit.
• A belt with weights.

On international flights, Copa Airlines will accept one piece of skiing equipment per passenger in place of one piece of allowed luggage.

Skiing equipment may include:

• A pair of water/snow skis.
• A pair of snow boots, poles, and skis.
• A wakeboard or snowboard.

Please make sure that equipment is properly packed in cases that are suited for transport.

Copa Airlines will transport a maximum of two surfboards, packed in the same bag, per passenger. Any additional boards must be checked as cargo. All passengers traveling with this type of luggage must make their reservation for their surfboards at the time of the ticket purchase or at least 48 hours prior to their flight departure. The number of surfboards that Copa Airlines will carry per flight depends on the type of aircraft for the same travel. At Copa Airlines, we rely on 3 types of aircraft. In this way, the number of surfboard cases accepted per flight has been established as follows:

Below you will see a list of things to keep in mind when packing your surfing equipment for the flight:

• The board's sharp edge or keel must be removed and packed appropriately.
• Surfboards will be accepted during the embargo period and put on board, no matter what your destination.
• Surfboards or surfboard/wakeboard bags measuring more than 115" (292 cm) in length will not be accepted as checked baggage on Copa Airlines flights. Bags containing surfboards or wakeboards weighing more than 70 lb (32 kg) will not be accepted as checked bags.

Copa Airlines will accept one tennis equipment item as checked baggage or carry-on luggage. A tennis equipment item consists of a tennis racket case, which may contain tennis rackets and balls.

Tennis equipment must be adequately protected, or a limited liability form must be signed.

If the tennis equipment exceeds the specified weight and size limitations established under the conditions of the current baggage allowance, applicable charges will apply for excess baggage. Similarly, it must meet the conditions established for carry-on luggage.

Copa Airlines permits the transport of windsurf equipment as part of the allowable baggage or subject to a service fee. Acceptable windsurf items include:

• A windsurf board, not exceeding 115 inches in length.
• A mast.
• A sail.
• An equipment set-up kit.

Below you will see a list of things to keep in mind when packing your windsurf equipment for the flight:

• Copa Airlines will accept, as checked baggage, one piece of windsurf equipment not exceeding 100 pounds.
• Those items that exceed the established weight and size restrictions (45 kg/100 lb and 62") must be transported as cargo.
• The items must be packed appropriately to protect them and avoid any damage during transport.
• The windsurf equipment cannot be checked as baggage on itineraries that include segments on other airlines' airplanes.
• Windsurf boards will not be accepted for transport during embargo periods.
