Purposes of the Personal Data collected

Your personal data will be used for purposes of:

  • Managing internal information in compliance with the procedures for each of the products and services offered, which are: Passenger air transport, cargo shipping, and courier services; in compliance with the requirements of the authorities in each country where you intend to travel, ship cargo, and/or use courier services.
  • Electronic delivery of special offers, promotions and news of interest to users.

Data collection and means by which personal data is gathered

Your personal data collected for the purposes described in this privacy notice is collected in a personal manner, when you provide said data via our website www.copa.com either by entering your data or using our online services. Data may also be obtained from other sources as permitted by law.

The personal data that we collect directly when you yourself provide such data to us by various means (for example, when you provide data in order to participate in promotions or special offers, or when you purchase a product or service from us).

We collect the following data directly via the Internet:

Surname and given name, telephone numbers, e-mail address, passport details and credit and/or debit card details.

In accordance with Articles 8, 10, and 37 of the Law, financial data, such as your credit card number and expiration date, are not considered data that require your express consent to be used.

Limitations on the use of data

You may cancel your subscription to promotions, special offers and services by telephone, e-mail, and postal mail. To do so, send a written message in Spanish, stating your desire to cancel said subscription. Exercising Rights of Access, Correction, Deletion and Objection (ACDO)

You have the right to access the personal data that we possess and the details of the processing of said data; the right to correction in the event that said data is inaccurate or incomplete; the right to delete said data when you deem that it is unnecessary for the purposes detailed in this Privacy Notice, or, that said data is used for purposes which you have not consented to; and, finally, the right to object to the processing of said data for specific purposes, which you have clearly delineated.

Right to revoke your consent to data processing

You may revoke, at any time, prior consent to process your personal data, in order to stop the use of such data. To do so, you must submit your request as described in this notice. Your request must include your full name (first and last names), an uncertified copy of your official identification (or, if sent via electronic means, a scanned copy of said identification), the e-mail or physical address you designate for purposes of receiving notifications, and a contact telephone number.

Within a maximum of twenty days, from the date of receipt of your revocation request, we will respond regarding the validity of your request, via an e-mail addressed to you and sent to the e-mail address that you indicated in your revocation request, or via a letter sent to the physical address that you indicated for such purposes.

Domestic and international transfer of data

Your personal data may be transferred and processed within and outside of the United Mexican States, by parties other than this company.

Your personal data will not be transmitted to third parties without your consent, with the exception of the parent or subsidiary companies of Compañía Panameña de Aviación, S.A., in accordance with Article 37 of the Law, including any other exceptions provided for in said legal framework.

We reserve the right to make changes to or update this privacy notice at any time.

Any changes that are made will be made available to the public by some or all of the following means: announcements displayed at our facilities, via our website, via e-mail to your most recent address that we have, magazine publications, posters, audio recordings, or in person through our employees when you enter any of our facilities.

We inform you that in order to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Notice, sensitive personal data will be collected and processed, including data about: relationship to other passengers, sexual preference, religion, philosophical beliefs, physical condition, health status, disability, photographs, and medical documents, inter alia.
