MileagePlus members may qualify for the MileagePlus Premier® program, with four levels that may be reached in miles (PQM) and in segments (PQS) of Premier qualification:

To qualify for any Premier level, members must reach a minimum number of Premier qualifying miles. Also, as a condition of the MileagePlus program, passengers are required to fly at least four paid flights on United, Copa Airlines or Copa Airlines Colombia flights during a calendar year (January 1 through December 31.)
Benefits
Privileges and benefits of the MileagePlus program have been designed exclusively for our most active members. Premier program members receive:
- Upgrades: On eligible flights, Premier members have several courtesy class upgrade options, if seats are available, including automatic, confirmed class upgrades when a ticket purchased in class Y, B and M is issued, or through our Premier Upgrade Automated (PUA) system. For 1K members, up to 4 days prior to flight departure, Platinum members, up to 3 days prior to flight departure, for Gold members, up to 2 days prior to flight departure, and for Silver members, up to 24 hours prior to flight departure. Upgrades are subject to availability two hours before departure, at the airport.
- Miles bonuses: Earn miles faster by paying qualifying fares on partner airlines participating in the program.
- On flights operated by Copa Airlines, Copa Airlines Colombia, and United, Premier Silver members receive 25%, Premier Gold receive 50%, Premier Platinum receive 75% and Premier 1K members receive 100% of the miles earned on their trip.
- Premier Priority Line: Enjoy preferred service when making reservations and redeeming your rewards when you call our Reservation Center.
- Premier Access:Receive preferred treatment when traveling:
- Priority upon check-in at the counter and when boarding
- Priority baggage handling
- Priority security screening (where available)
- United Club membership and access to Copa Club: Premier members receive a special discount to acquire this membership.
- Premier Gold, Platinum, and 1K members can enjoy VIP rooms at all Star Alliance network rooms when traveling in Star Alliance partner airlines.* Passengers must bring their boarding pass and Premier status card.
- Main Cabin preferred seat assignment.
- Class upgrades for companion on the day of the flight (at the airport), subject to availability.
- Access to El Dorado Airport Elite lounge.
No baggage fees for MileagePlus Premier Silver, Gold, Platinum and 1K
Premier Silver, Gold, Platinum, and 1K members enjoy a no-baggage-fee policy on international flights, even when flying on a MileagePlus reward ticket redeemed with their miles. This does not apply to Premier account beneficiaries whose MileagePlus status is not Premier.

- MileagePlus Premier Silver members may check in up to two (2) pieces of baggage whose maximum weight does not exceed 70 pounds (32 kg) each, without additional fees.

- MileagePlus Premier Gold, Platinum, and 1K members may check in up to three (3) pieces of baggage whose maximum weight does not exceed 70 pounds (32 kg) each, without additional fees.

- Combined linear measurements requirements remain the same. That is to say, no piece shall exceed 62 combined linear inches (157 cm) (height+length+width).
- If pieces measure between 63" (160 cm) and 107" (272 cm), they will be considered excess baggage.
- The same applies to pieces whose combined measurements exceed 107" (272 cm).

All passengers may check in up to 20 kg for baggage compartment. Premier members may check in additional baggage without baggage fees, according to their level: Silver 10 kg, Gold 20 kg, Platinum and 1K 30 kg. Subject to availability and airplane weight and balance.
Other benefits
Premier program members receive fare discounts for penalties and tickets redemption.
