MIAMI, May 1, 2014 - Copa Airlines, a member of Star Alliance global airlines network, has announced relocation of its check-in counter in the South Terminal of the Miami International Airport (MIA), effective May 1, 2014. The Copa check-in counter will be located in the center of the South Terminal next to the Lufthansa counter and adjacent to security checkpoint J.
Copa’s arrival and departure gates will remain in the same locations in J concourse of the South Terminal. Federal Immigration, Customs and Agriculture checkpoints for Copa passengers also will remain the same.
Copa operates five-times-daily nonstop service to Panama from Miami, with morning and afternoon departures. In Panama, passengers can make convenient connections to over 55 destinations in Central and South America and the Caribbean.
“The new location will enhance our passengers’ travel experience, with modern new counters, more space between check-in lines, better lighting and convenient access to a newer terminal with improved baggage systems,” said Fernando Fondevila, Commercial Regional Manager - North America, Copa Airlines.

In addition, the new check-in counters are located near the security checkpoint at the center of South Terminal J, which has a greater number of security lanes.
