Copa Airlines restarts flights to Santiago, Chile

Panama, March 4, 2010 – In accordance with operational guidelines established by the Chilean authorities, Copa Airlines announces that it will resume operation on March 5 of its two daily flights to and from Santiago, Chile.


Meanwhile, airport procedures in Santiago will continue to take place in temporary facilities until operations return to normal. To facilitate the boarding process, Copa Airlines recommends that customers arrive at the Santiago airport three hours before their flight with their boarding passes or cards in hand. Boarding passes may be obtained at www.copaair.com/webcheck-in.

Passengers also may obtain their boarding passes in person at the Copa Airlines offices in Santiago, located at Fidel Oteiza 1921, office # 703, Providencia.

Starting today, March 4, all passengers with confirmed reservations must present themselves for their respective flights according to their travel itinerary. Those customers who have not yet completed their travel to or from Santiago should contact our Call Center to make arrangements for the remainder of their itinerary.


In addition, the date for waiver of penalties has been extended to March 15, 2010 for those customers who prefer the option of changing dates and flights to/from Santiago, Chile. We recommend that customers check this site periodically since information may change without prior notice depending on requirements of local authorities and on local circumstances. We will update information as soon as it is available.


The rest of Copa Airlines flights continue to operate as normal.

Change fees and additional fare collections will be waived for rescheduled travel booked in the same fare class to the same city pairs as that of the original ticket, on or before April 15, 2010. New travel must be completed by April 15, 2010.
