Copa Airlines begins nonstop service between Montréal and Panama

Montreal, June 03, 2014 – Copa Airlines {NYSE: CPA} subsidiary of Copa Holdings, S.A., and a member of Star Alliance global airline network today begins nonstop service four times a week between Montréal’s Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport and Copa’s Hub of the Americas at Tocumen International Airport in Panama, Republic of Panama, with connecting service throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Montréal is Copa’s second Canadian destination and its 67th overall.

As a leading Latin American airline, Copa Airlines has been working closely with Airport Authorities, Tourisme Québec and Tourisme Montréal to promote the new flight, which will provide easy access for passengers from Latin America to the area’s dynamic cultural offerings, history, arts and entertainment districts, dining, nightlife and shopping experiences.

Copa will operate a Boeing 737-700 Next Generation with 12 business class seats and 112 economy seats on the flights to Panama. Copa flight 423 will depart Montréal on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 9:33 a.m., arriving at Copa’s Hub of the Americas at Tocumen International Airport in Panama at 2:22 p.m. The return flight, 422, will depart Panama at 6 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursday, and Saturdays, arriving in Montréal at 12:49 a.m.

Copa’s on-board service includes complimentary meals and beverages, including wines and spirits; a 12-channel audio-visual entertainment system in English, Spanish and Portuguese, with new movies monthly and complimentary headsets.
