Copa Airlines to be the presenting sponsor and official airline of Miami Beach International Fashion Week

The airline will transport Latin American designers, collections and media to Miami Fashion Week, as well as offer special fares for flights to Miami for the event


Miami, US - March 2, 2011 -- Copa Airlines is presenting sponsor and official airline of the 13th annual Miami Beach International Fashion Week©, March 3-6.  As part of the airline's initiatives to unite and promote the cultures of the Americas, Copa Airlines is transporting fashion designers from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Panama, Peru and Venezuela to Miami Fashion Week and also is offering limited-time special promotional fares for travel to the event, which features well-known designers from Latin American and around the world.

The "Copa Airlines Showcase" at 8:30 p.m. on March 5 will highlight the work of designers Mariela Allaix, Argentina; Marcelo Quadros, Brazil; Eduardo González, Colombia; Federico Visuetti, Panama; Claudia Bertolero, Peru; and Giovanni Scutaro, Venezuela; as well as the major design trends of Latin American fashion for 2011. The Copa Showcase will take place at the Miami Beach Convention Center, Hall A.

Copa also will transport the "Copa Airlines Showcase" designers' collections and assistants to Miami, as well as media from the designers' home countries who are covering Miami Beach International Fashion Week.

Copa's Hub of the Americas at Panama's Tocumen International Airport offers more international flights to destinations within Latin America than any other hub on the continent.
